The cliffs are 8km long and offer panoramic views which are simply captivating. Stroll along the cliff tops and marvel at this natural wonder. The visitors center offers a short presentation about the cliffs, the surrounding area and history.

Visit Caherconnell Fort, built between the 10th to 12th centuries, used as a stronghold in the Burren region, protecting occupants from attack. Archaeologists continue their work at this site; looking for relics and discovering the secrets of the fort, its previous occupants and their way of living.

Experience the command a farmer has over his trusty sheep dog with an exhilarating sheep dog demonstration.  Stand and watch him skillfully direct and drive the flock of sheep as he wishes around the field.  The farmer will give you an insight into the training sheep dogs and learn about sheep farming as a profession in Ireland.

We’ll have lunch at nearby Doolin Village, a cute Irish village which is known for its traditional music worldwide !

Itinerary

7:15am - Departs from the Molly Malone Statue on Suffolk street
This Belfast day tour departs from the Molly Malone Statue on Suffolk Street. We have to stress that our tours leave on time so we highly recommend that you are at the meeting point ten minutes early. You’ll board our comfortable coach, meet our legendary guide and fellow adventurers, then head west out of Dublin. There are quaint villages, lush countryside and even some castle ruins to see as we head towards Caherconnell Fort. You’ll be crossing the width of Ireland this morning!
11:00 - Caherconnell Fort & sheepdog demo
Arriving at Caherconnell Fort, you will have the opportunity to stroll around this well preserved ring fort and take in its ancient history. If you’re lucky, you might see a few archaeologists around unearthing more secrets of the fort. Next to the fort you will have the opportunity to experience a sheep dog demonstration by the local farmer and learn all about sheep farming in Ireland.  Watch these amazing dogs weave and turn the flock at the farmers wish.
12:50pm - LUNCH - Doolin
It’s time for lunch, so we head to Doolin – a beautiful village famed for its traditional music on the edge of the Atlantic. We usually go to Fitzpatrick’s Pub where the seafood is particularly good. If you like seafood, the food should leave you very satisfied. Don’t worry if you are not a fan of seafood, there are plenty of other options available.  ( lunch not included )
14:00 - CLIFFS OF MOHER - 1HR BOAT TOUR
After lunch we head to Doolin harbour just a couple of minutes away with towering views of the Cliffs of Moher at sea level. We will board our trusty vessel and take a boat ride along the base of the cliffs for 1 hour taking in spectacular cliff views from the ocean! The cliffs rise high above you – imposing natural formations surrounded by the dramatic and lush landscape that Ireland is known for.
15:15 - CLIFFS TOP WALK
Not only will you experience the cliffs from the sea but you will also get to walk the cliff tops to view the Cliffs of Moher from its iconic standpoint.  You will have access to the visitors center to learn about the history of the local area, the flora, fauna and geology.  We will start our journey back to Dublin at 16:00.

Magnificent View of the Cliffs of Moher

I recommend this boat ride to view the Cliffs of Moher from the water. You get an entirely different impression of the size of the cliffs from the water level. My group of 22 people were amazed to see this view. The staff at Doolin Ferry went out of their way to accommodate us and were very friendly and helpful. The water was calm and it was a lovely ride. I only wish the sky had been blue so my photos would have been better, but that was beyond our control. I will gladly go back and take this ride again.

Absolutely fantastic!

Eoin/Owen was our driver, not only was he extremely kind, thoughtful, and detailed at the sights, he was hilarious too! He continued to make us laugh through out the day and the entire trip was lit with his cheerful attitude. We absolutely adored the trip and will never think of using any other company when we return to Ireland again! Wishing much happiness to Eoin/Owen and his new baby Lily! Thank you for a most wonderful trip!
